Findings of the recent study, published online in the journal Nature,
contradicts the longstanding belief that multi-celled life during that
period comprised relatively simple creatures, such as bacteria,
single-cell eukaryotes, algae, sea sponges, sea anemones, or bilaterally
symmetrical animals.
