Swedes now recycle 99% of their garbage.
"...At the core of Sweden’s program is its waste-management hierarchy
designed to curb environmental harm: prevention (reduce), reuse,
recycling, recycling alternatives (energy recovery via WTE plants), and
lastly, disposal (landfill)..."
