U.S. workers would compete with countries that pay 56 cents an hour... hundreds of thousands more jobs shipped overseas... outsource IT, programming, diagnostics... Asian countries could compete for contracts with the Federal government... foreign countries could sue in U.S. court if their profits are hurt by U.S. policies, like minimum wage, and fines could come out of tax dollars... U.S. patents on prescription drugs would be extended so that it takes longer to get a cheaper generic... people will die because they can't afford drug prices kept high... We need trade practices that work for American workers, not just the CEOs of corporations... Our past trade deals are responsible for the lowering of the standard of living and the problems of the middle class...
