Most Christians have accepted by now that pushing Adam and Eve as a "valid theory" of how we got here is pretty much a lost cause. To believe the story of the creation of humans in Genesis - for which no evidence exists because none could exist - that some supernatural character, also for which no evidence exists, is responsible for our existence as fully formed humans is ridiculous and laughable. However, in their never ending desire to force their beliefs on others, they have now begun to exploit what they see as a crack or a flaw in the scientific discipline - the fact that in addition to evidence, science relies heavily on challenging all theories including its own, to repackage "creation" as intelligent design.
