Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood
began fresh protests after a crackdown killed hundreds. The Obama
administration came under fire by some U.S. lawmakers for not taking a
harder line against Egypt's military rule. In Beirut a car bomb in a
Hezbollah stronghold killed two dozen people. After a new wave of
