The last few years have seen a revolution in prenatal testing technology. Bedside ultrasound machines mean doctors can offer the service at every visit, while a simple blood test can screen for fetal abnormalities like Down syndrome or trisomy 18. These methods reveal more information earlier in the pregnancy than ever before.
