Steven Salzberg writes the “Fighting Pseudoscience” column for Forbes, for which he was awarded the 2012 Robert P. Balles Prize in Critical Thinking from the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry. He is a Bloomberg Distinguished Professor of Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, and Biostatistics at Johns Hopkins University, and the Director of the Center for Computational Biology at John Hopkins School of Medicine.
In a talk presented at the Reason for Change conference in Buffalo, New York, on June 14, 2015, Salzberg exposes the many harms of alternative medicine, and how its practice and promotion has infected some of the leading medical schools in the United States.
